Centrica finance chief moves to Reed Elsevier
Publisher and information provider Reed Elsevier has announced this morning that Nick Luff, formerly chief financial officer (CFO) of energy firm Centrica, will be joining its ranks in the same position.
In a separate statement, Centrica said that a search for a replacement for Luff is currently underway.
Luff has been CFO at Centrica since 2007. Before that he was at P&O, where he worked in a variety of finance roles. He's also a non-executive director of Lloyds Banking Group.
He'll take over this year from Duncan Palmer, who resigned in September 2013.
Erik Engstrom, Reed Elsevier's chief executive, said:
I am pleased to have Nick join the team. His many years of experience as Finance Director of a FTSE 30 company, combined with his involvement in dual UK/US and Netherlands-based listings, make him a great fit for Reed Elsevier.
