Casey crashes to double defeat
GOLF: Paul Casey’s hopes of a winning return to action look over after he crashed to back-to-back opening day defeats in the World Match Play Championship.
The top seed, playing for the first time since July after a back injury, was beaten on the final hole by Scott Strange before then losing to Anthony Kim by three holes.
Irishman Rory McIlroy was also beaten, by five holes, by Angel Cabrera.
Meanwhile, Ian Poulter fired a fine 66 to lead the Singapore Masters by a single shot after a rain-affected first day.
