Smart Forstars coupé concept goes on display
Smart is introducing this electrically-driven Smart Forstars coupé concept at next week’s Paris motor show. The car seats two passengers, has a glass roof above – hence the name – and has a video projector in the bonnet, which is certain never to make production. What is interesting is that the Forstars coupé shows us how the next generation of Smart cars will look.
Lexus gears up for rear-wheel drive demo
Lexus will unveil its rear-wheel drive LF-CC coupé concept at the Paris show. The mid-size coupé concept shows what a forthcoming, mid-size Lexus coupé will look like. Its hybrid powertrain uses a new 2.5-litre four-cylinder DOHC petrol engine, mated to a compact, high-output electric motor. CO2 emissions will be under 100g/km, says Lexus.
Mini adds yet another model to its bulging range
If you thought the Mini brand was already stretched beyond breaking point, you’d be wrong. This is the new Mini Paceman, a two-door “Sports Activity Coupé,” which is lower and sportier and promises more spirited driving than the Countryman it is based on. It will be sold in two or four-wheel drive and is the seventh model in the Mini range.
