THE WEIRD AND WONDERFUL PIVO 3: IT CAN PARK ITSELF
The Tokyo Motor Show usually excels at the weird and the wonderful and this year was no different. This is Nissan’s PIVO 3 concept, an electric microcar with all-wheel-drive, which has an electric motor at each wheel powering each wheel independently. The car can even park itself.
HONDA’S NEXT-GEN ROADSTER
This little electric roadster is the Honda EV-STER concept which previews how the next generation of Honda cars should look. This little “kei” car should go into production within the next two years for the Japanese market but is unlikely to be sold in Europe due to safety regulations.
NISSAN’S NISMO TWEAKS
Nissan announced at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show that its Nismo performance arm is going to be tweaking a bunch of its cars for road use. This is the Nismo Juke concept – a souped-up version of its Juke crossover. Nissan also showed a performance version of its electric Leaf.
