PEUGEOT’S NEW LOOK
Take note. This is the new Peugeot 508 which is the biggest indicator yet of how much more handsome Peugeot cars are going to become. The 508 replaces two cars in the Peugeot range – the 407 and 607 – and is better looking than either. Thanks to its narrower grille and sleeker nose the car looks significantly classier than any Peugeot we’ve seen in recent years.
THE WORLD’S MOST EXPENSIVE IPOD?
Fancy turning your Beamer into an iPod? You’ll soon be able to use the ‘iPod out’ feature on your iPod or iPhone to display the iPod user interface (UI) on the car’s in-dash display. This means music access and playback – which will look like Apple’s interface and not like BMW’s in-car UI – will be accessible using iDrive controls too.
FERRARI’S NEW SPEEDSTER
This is the Ferrari 458 Challenge, a track-only version of its 458 Italia, which is lighter and faster than the road-going car thanks to thinner body panels and more carbon fibre. Although it uses the same 562bhp 4.5-litre V8 as the production car, tweaks to the gear ratios and gearbox will make for a quicker car, perhaps quicker even than the legendary Enzo.
