Candy gets the thumbs up to turn Knightsbridge office into house
PROPERTY tycoon Christian Candy, one of London’s best known residential developers, is turning an office building in Knightsbridge into a supersized residential home.
Candy’s CPC Group was granted planning permission by Westminster borough council earlier this week to convert its offices at Rutland Gardens into a house, which will be 16 times the size of a typical UK home.
And what to expect from the prime slab of real estate, located a stone’s throw from luxury department store Harrods and the Mandarin Oriental hotel?
According to a filing made with the borough, a massage room, cinema, swimming pool and cocktail lounge are all on the list.
