Canary Wharf offices evacuated over suspicious vehicle near South Quay DLR station
Office workers close to Canary Wharf have returned to work after being evacuated due to a "suspicious vehicle" in the area.
Several buildings near South Quay station to the south of the main towers of Canary Wharf were evacuated and the area cordoned off following reports to the police.
They were called to the scene just before 10am on Tuesday morning and fire and ambulance services also attended the incident at Marsh Wall.
They were stood down just before 1pm, the Met Police have said, and workers have now returned.
