Butchery firm moves its prime cuts up in executive promotions
CRAWSHAW Group yesterday announced Alan Richardson will be appointed chief financial officer, taking the reins from Lynda Sherratt on the 1st October 2015.
Richardson joins Crawshaws from the 7 September following five years at Morrisons where he worked in a range of senior finance roles. After qualifying as an accountant with KPMG in 2001, he has a total of 13 years experience working in supermarket finance.
Crawshaws’ chief executive Noel Collett commented: “Alan brings a wealth of relevant financial management experience of an expanding retail business along with expertise in business strategy, cross functional transformation and strategic management accounting initiatives during periods of portfolio growth.”
The firm also announced that Kevin Boyd, who is currently a managing director at the company, will be appointed chief commercial officer from the same date. Boyd has 25 years experience at the meat company, and his role will include a wider remit and responsibility for buying, factory operations and logistics.
Collett anticipates that these appointments will add “relevant experience, expertise and energy” as the butchery chain looks to grow.
