Brown gets Pearson vote
HULL’S new chairman Adam Pearson insists he wants to keep Phil Brown as manager – but has warned him he must start winning.
Brown is hot favourite to be the next top flight boss to be sacked following Saturday’s 2-0 defeat to Burnley.
But Pearson, who started his second spell at the helm at the KC Stadium yesterday, says he is reluctant to wield the axe.
“I’m desperate for Phil to win some games and then all this conjecture can go away,” said Pearson.
“He is definitely the manager of this club and he’s got a big game against Stoke. But we need wins, we need results. He knows that and I know that but nothing would give me greater pleasure than for us to get a win on Sunday.”
Hull face financial difficulties if they go down but Pearson added: “There should be no dramatic panic.”
