British American Tobacco boss made £4.5m last year
British American Tobacco (BAT) today revealed that chief executive Nicandro Durante received a pay rise in 2015.
The company's annual report shows Durante was paid a total of £4.52m last year, up from £3.62m in 2014. However, his remuneration has yet to climb back to the levels of a few years ago – in 2013 he was paid £6.67m, and the year before made £6.34m.
Meanwhile, the tobacco giant's finance director Ben Stevens pulled in £3.32m for the year.
BAT's revenue fell by 6.2 per cent to £13.1bn in 2015, down from £14bn the year before.
The company's board recommended a final dividend of 104.6p, to be paid on 5 May. This will take the 2015 total dividend to 154.0p per share, an increase of four per cent.
Shares in BAT were up by 0.18 per cent to close at 3,983p today.
