Bristol tops the table of wisest car purchasers
MOTORISTS in Bristol are the savviest used car buyers in the country as figures show they are most likely to check out the history of a vehicle before stumping up the cash for it.
A report from the RAC out today found seven out of 10 motorists “buy blind” by failing to check the history of a used vehicle. However, people who dwell in Bristol are more than twice as likely to check than those living in Glasgow and nearly three times as likely than those from Newcastle, which came bottom.
The firm released figures revealing nearly 1.9m vehicles changed hands in the third quarter of 2014 alone as sales hit a seven-year high.
