Bournemouth breached Financial Fair Play during promotion winning season and could face £10m fine from Football League
Bournemouth could face a fine of up to £10m from the Football League for breaching its Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations during their promotion-winning campaign to the Premier League last season.
The Football League announced that Cherries exceeded the maximum permitted loss for Championship clubs last season of £6m.
Bournemouth's financial figures for the season have not yet been publicly disclosed, but in the 2013/14 campaign a year earlier the club was £10.3m in the red for the season.

The Football League's fine will be determined by how much Bournemouth breached their maximum permitted loss. A loss over one per cent of the permitted amount could amount in a fine up to £100,000 while an 80 per cent excess could see the club fined up to £10m.
Bournemouth said today that it was "fully aware of the Football League's proposed financial sanction relating to Financial Fair Play and is currently engaged in positive dialogue with the Football League to reach a satisfactory outcome."
The club's meteoric rise from League Two five years ago to English football's top tier has been aided by significant investment from Russian billionaire Maxim Demin.
