Booz & Co ends merger talks
Management consulting firm Booz & Co said yesterday it ended discussions with rival A.T. Kearney for a possible merger, saying it decided “their future aspirations will be best realised as separate partnerships.” Booz, established in 1914, now has more than 3,300 people in 61 offices around the world. In 2008, private equity firm Carlyle Group bought the firm’s US government consulting business and last month filed for an IPO.
