Bitcoin and Ethereum suddenly trading in different directions
Bitcoin is trading in the negative today, down by one per cent over 24 hours, while Ethereum seems to be going the other way and still trading above the key $2,000 level.
Among the third-gen cryptocurrencies, Polygon continues to rally with 5% gains overnight while others such as Solana pull back. The cryptocurrency known for its speedy throughput is in the red by more than 5%.
XRP saw a 10% surge in price yesterday, following on the heels of a now debunked rumour that BlackRock is also planning to launch an XRP ETF. The price of XRP quickly corrected after the asset manager quashed the rumours.
