UNION JACKS mixed with Italian flags at the post-Royal Wedding lunch for one City firm last Friday at Neapolitan restaurant Rossopomodoro. There were so many takers for the company’s plan to watch the ceremony on the screens in Hyde Park followed by a pizza lunch that the wedding party turned into a family affair, with 40 City workers and their children taking over the top-floor private dining area of the Covent Garden venue. A change of scene from the firm’s usual fine-dining haunts, but a hit nonetheless, with 60 pizzas washed down with free-flowing Sicilian wine and Italian beers, taking the bill to a Bank Holiday-worthy £1,173.90. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would be proud.
