BILL OF THE WEEK
EXCLUSIVITY is officially back in vogue. This group of four accountants were invited to dine at the private table in High Timber’s wine cellar by restaurant founder Neleen Strauss last week, where they proceeded to spend £2,114.16 of their hard-earned cash on fine wine and mouth-watering munch.
Roasted scallops, foie gras and rib eye steaks were followed by chocolate fondant and a trip to the cheese room (which, regular readers may recall, recently introduced the Vieux Boulogne semi-soft cow’s milk cheese – officially the world’s smelliest cheese – onto its menu).
They chased down these delicacies with Krug champagne, three bottles of Sassicaia and one of the restaurant’s signature Jordan CWG chardonnay. Bottoms up…
