Betting tips: Arsenal to spoil Kane’s Spurs return with north London derby triumph
ARSENAL welcome north London rivals Tottenham to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday lunchtime, looking to keep up their exceptional recent form.
The Gunners are 15 games unbeaten, second in the table and into the last-16 of the Champions League – giving supporters a reason to smile.
Arsene Wenger’s side thumped hapless Sunderland last weekend and were top of the Premier League for a couple of hours before Manchester City’s victory.
But arch-rivals Tottenham are mounting yet another assault on the title and sit just three points behind Arsenal and leaders City.
Mauricio Pochettino’s exciting young side have suffered a hiccup in recent weeks, dropping points against Leicester, Bournemouth and West Brom, as well as losing to high-flying Liverpool.
However, Spurs are buoyed by the news that Harry Kane has returned to first team training and the England international is being tipped to start at the Emirates.
Summer signing Vincent Janssen has so far struggled to impress in Kane’s absence – scoring just twice in the Premier League; both coming from the penalty spot.
The previous five meetings have witnessed three draws and a win apiece. But the form of Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez makes Betway’s evens for a home win attractive.
Walcott has missed the last couple of games due to injury but is expected to return on Sunday.
The 27-year-old already has five Premier League goals and will fancy his chances against a Tottenham defence missing the influential Toby Alderweireld.
The Belgian’s absence has left a gaping hole in the heart of the back four, and while Eric Dier has done well in an unfamiliar role, Pochettino will be counting down the days until his return.
On the other hand, Arsenal now boast one of the Premier League’s strongest defences, with Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi forming an impressive partnership.
So for that reason and Tottenham being out-of-sorts, I will be selling total goals at 2.85 with Sporting Index as I can’t envision a goalfest.

MAXIMUM EXCITEMENT – ON ARSENAL V TOTTENHAM
THERE aren’t many games that get the blood pumping as much as the north London derby, especially when both clubs are within three points of each other near the top of the table.
Arsene Wenger will be the happier boss going into this game.
His side haven’t been beaten since the opening day of the season and have won 10 of their last 11 across all competitions.
The Wembley curse seems to have hit Tottenham in the Champions League and their performance against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday night was fairly abject.
Spurs have now failed to win in their last six, which has to be a worry going into one of the biggest games of the season for their fans.
Sporting Index are offering a wide range of markets on this game and an interesting one is the win index.
In this market, 25 points are awarded if your selected team wins, 10 points if the match is drawn and 0 points if your side loses.
Sporting Index are quoting Arsenal at 14.5-16 and if you are confident that the Gunners can continue their fine form you would buy.
A win would result in a profit of nine times your stake, while a draw or a defeat would see a loss of six or 16 times the initial stake respectively.
If you fancy Spurs to get something out of the game, you have the option to sell the Arsenal win index at 14.25 or buy the Tottenham win index at 9.25.
In both of these markets, a profit will only be secured if Spurs can avoid defeat.
Whatever you decide, you can be sure that a spread bet will deliver maximum excitement.
Spread betting can result in losses that exceed your initial deposit or credit limit.
