Bayern Munich star Jerome Boateng joins Jay Z’s sports management firm Roc Nation Sports
Jay Z's sports management company, Roc Nation Sports, has made Jerome Boateng the first footballer on its expanding roster.

The Bayern Munich defender joins a host of top-level athletes including world championship-winning boxers Andre Ward and Miguel Cotto, NBA stars such as Kevin Durant and various other American sports personalities who left established agencies for the talent management company founded in 2013.
Boateng will remain with German representatives SAM Sports who signed an exclusive promotional agreement with Roc Nation.
The World Cup winner, who was in New York this week to sew up the deal, told German paper Bild that Roc Nation presented him with a chance to crack the increasingly lucrative American soccer market:
This is work for a couple of days. Just like Asia, America is a huge market. We will see if I can conquer that market, but America is a very interesting continent for me.
