In pictures: Here’s what Battersea’s stunning roof garden will look like
Battersea Power Station yesterday unveiled the look of its Foster and Partners designed roof gardens, ahead of the third phase of the closely watched project.
The developers of the scheme said the Battersea Roof Gardens and Prospect Park would house one of the biggest roof gardens in London.
“We have worked on many gardens, but never before on this scale,” Foster and Partner senior executive partner Grant Brooker said.
“There is simply no roof garden like this in any private development in the world, so it really does offer a unique residential opportunity.”
The development is set to launch its third phase next Friday, having won planning consent from Wandsworth council last week. Phase 3 of the plan will involve 1,305 Gehry Partners and Foster and Partners designed homes. James Corner Field Operations will design the garden on the roof.
