Average director salary reaches £191,000 for small-cap firms
DIRECTORS of companies listed on London’s Alternative Investment Market (Aim) saw their pay jump five per cent last year, according to data out today from Income Data Services (IDS).
Using the median figure to exclude the impact of the most extreme pay packets, IDS calculated the average director of an Aim-listed company received a basic salary of £191,000.
When bonuses and incentives are included the figure rises to £236,607 for directors’ total earnings, an 11 per cent increase.
“There are signs that the earnings of directors at small companies are gathering momentum and following a slowdown the previous year, with Aim directors leading the way,” said the editor of the IDS report, Steve Tatton.
