Arden culls top analysts
ONE of the City’s most respected and well-known analysts is amongst five people who are discussing their futures with Arden Partners, as the firm embarks on a cost-cutting exercise in response to a fall-off in revenues.
Retail analyst Nick Bubb is on paid leave along with colleague Geoff Allum as their future at the broker hangs in the balance, CityA.M.com revealed yesterday.
One possibility is a part-time role for Bubb, who is a City veteran. Arden’s retail note, written by Bubb, is read by thousands of city traders and analysts every day. Bubb is well known for his hard hitting comments on the UK retail scene and this week his views on struggling UK retailer Mothercare were widely circulated.
Arden, which is AIM-listed, provides financial services to corporate and institutional clients and advises a wide roster of Indian clients.
