Winger Tom Williams was banned for 12 months after being found guilty of faking an injury in against Leinster in April.
“We have to accept we have been found guilty of behaviour that cannot be accepted or condoned and for that we apologise to all of you unconditionally,” Evans said.
Of former director of rugby Dean Richards, who resigned as a result of the incident, Evans added. “It was no surprise to us that he wanted to take full responsibility.”
