John Harley has been appointed as global private equity leader at the accountancy firm, having joined in 2000 to lead its technology, communications and entertainment corporate finance practice.
Harley, who is currently head of private equity for Europe, the Middle East, India and Africa at the firm, is also leading the E&Y response to proposed European Commission regulation of the sector.
Execution
Ed Stacey has joined the agency broker’s research team as an analyst covering aerospace and defence.
Stacey joins from HSBC, where he was an analyst specialising in aerospace and defence and capital goods, covering companies including Rolls-Royce and BAE Systems. Prior to that, he was an analyst at Société Générale.
Lombard Risk
The trading software firm has appointed Keith Butcher as its new finance director, effective from 1 September.
Butcher, 46, was previously finance director at Aim-listed technology firms Flomerics and DataCash.
RBC Capital Markets
The investment bank has hired Marc Fleischman as a managing director and head of European hedge fund sales.
Fleischman joins from Citigroup, where he was a managing director.
