Back Chelsea to win it the hard way again at 25/1
FULHAM vs CHELSEA
SUNDAY 4PM, SKY SPORTS 2
CARLO ANCELOTTI has made a pleasing start to life in the Premier League and his side were awesome in the second half against Sunderland on Tuesday night. They don’t have far to travel on Sunday when they make the short trip over to Craven Cottage to face local rivals Fulham.
The Blues drew 2-2 here last season and Roy Hodgson’s side will make it very difficult for them, especially as they picked up a valuable victory at Fratton Park last weekend and will be rested having not played in midweek. Interestingly, the Cottagers have an outstanding first half record in the past few months.
Since October, they have only been behind once at the interval in 16 home games and all three Big Four sides have failed to take a lead into the second half.
Hodgson’s side always seem to start strongly and with Chelsea drawing at half-time against Hull and losing at Sunderland, the best betting option is to oppose them in the half-time market. Punters can lay the Blues on Betdaq at around 2.35, but I also wouldn’t put anyone off having a small bet on Fulham HT / Chelsea FT at 25/1 with Boylesports. Ancelotti’s side have shown their class in the latter stages recently, so I’d expect them to go on and win the game in the second half. In-running punters on Betdaq should also adopt a strategy of getting with Chelsea at half-time if they are drawing or trailing, whilst spread bettors should look to buy total goals at 2.7 with Sporting Index. There have been 11 goals scored in the last three contests between these sides. Elsewhere, Arsenal look like good things at home to Portsmouth and Sporting Index are bound to see plenty of buyers of their supremacy. Finally, I certainly wouldn’t put anyone off taking the 11/10 available with Boylesports about a Sunderland home victory against Blackburn.
