Lars Hjaltman has joined the exchange trading solutions firm as head of development, based in the UK but operating in the firm’s major markets across Europe and the US.
Hjaltman has over 20 years of experience in technology and software development, having most recently been chief operating officer of Electronic Shipping Solutions. He has also worked as chief information officer of employment services portal Monster Worldwide.
Future Capital Partners
The alternative investment boutique has appointed Trevor Castledine as its new chief operating officer.
Castledine, who has taken on responsibility for all the firm’s operations, organisational development and strategy delivery, was previously managing director and head of financial products at the Royal Bank of Scotland. While at RBS, he also held a position as MD of portfolio transactions in the global markets unit.
Prior to that, he was a vice president within Royal Dutch Shell’s structured finance division and also worked at BNP and Barclays Capital.
LV= Asset Management
The fund management arm of mutual insurer and investment group LV= has appointed Claire Johnson as a business development manager.
Johnson has over 10 years of industry experience in sales and business development, having previously worked as a regulated investment adviser to high net worth clients at both Abbey and Citigroup.
Bravura Solutions
The wealth management applications and professional services firm has appointed Kevan Ward as a product manager for life and pensions.
Ward was most recently a director for Optima Marketing in the UK, and prior to that, he was associate director at Barclays Wealth in London.
Berwin Leighton Paisner
Murray North, a private client expert, is to join the law firm from Clifford Chance, where he has been a partner since 1990.
North originally joined the Bar but is also qualified as a solicitor, specialising in providing personal tax and trusts advice to ultra-high net worth individuals and their related trusts, controlled companies and businesses.
Baker Tilly
The audit firm has hired Marcus McCaffrey as a partner in its forensics services team in London.
McCaffrey has 15 years’ experience in forensics and litigation, gained during his time as head of investigations and assurance at Risk Advisory Group, where he was responsible for fraud and corruption investigations. He began his career as an officer in the British Army.
