Avoca Capital Holdings
The European credit investment manager has hired Clayton Perry, formerly principal and managing director at Broadchalk Advisors, as its new chief operating officer.
Prior to establishing Broadchalk, Perry was head of global collateralised loan obligation (CLO) business at Credit Suisse, responsible for CLO transactions in the US and Europe.
The appointment comes after Dublin-based Avoca yesterday opened its new London office.
Coutts & Co
The private bank has appointed Michael Hayman as regional chairman, responsible for working with its entrepreneur clients.
Hayman is co-founder of public relations consultancy Seven Hills, where his clients have including the Dubai government, De Beers, Grosvenor and Shell.
He has formerly authored Coutts’ “Face Value” publication, looking at business leaders, brands and reputation, as well as writing reports for UK Trade and Investment and the City of Westminster.
Barclays Wealth
Youssef Affany is to join the global wealth management firm as a senior private banker and managing director for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Affany, who will be based in Geneva, joins from Citigroup Global Wealth Management, where he was a senior private banker working with ultra-high net worth clients in the MENA region.
VTB Capital
The investment firm, part of Russia’s VTB Group, has appointed Roy Linnel as global head of treasury, based in London.
Linnel has spent 24 years of his career at Barclays covering retail and corporate banking, including 13 years in various treasury roles across capital management, liquidity risk, interest rate risk management and balance sheet management.
He was most recently a managing director in the global retail and commercial banking treasury team, responsible for the emerging markets, western Europe and South Africa region.
Société Générale
The bank has hired Jonathan Moxon to head up its Asian and American client coverage team in Europe.
Moxon joined SocGen in 2003 as a managing director in the coverage and investment banking team in London, focusing on the consumer and capital goods sector.
He also formerly worked for nine years at Bank of America and also at Banque Indosuez.
BTIG
The broker dealer has appointed Jesse Lentchner as chief executive of its Asia-Pacific subsidiaries, based in Hong Kong.
Lentchner joins after over 10 years as a senior executive at investment bank Goldman Sachs, most recently as co-head of execution services in Asia.
Prior to that, he worked as an equity sales trader at Nomura and W.I. Carr.
SDI
Scientific Digital Imaging has appointed Ken Ford and Dr Ann Simon as non-executive directors.
Ford is a former chief executive of Teather and Greenwood and has held directorships at Aberdeen Asset Management and Morgan Grenfell.
Simon is currently chief financial officer of Sphere Medical Holding.
