FSA recruits two new female board members
BAIGRIE Davies director Amanda Davidson and Dame Sandra Dawson, professor of management at Cambridge University have joined the Financial Services Authority (FSA) board as non-executive directors.
Ethical investment specialist Davidson has been a director of Baigrie Davies since 2005.
She was also a founding director of Chase de Vere and held a directorship at Holden Meehan where she was involved in the sale of the business to Bradford & Bingley.
Dame Sandra is professor of management at Cambridge University where she has also been a deputy vice chancellor since 2008. She has been at Cambridge since 1995.
Her financial services experience includes non-executive roles at Barclays and Fleming Claverhouse Investment Trust and on the advisory board of Alchemy Partners.
Chancellor Alistair Darling said yesterday: “I am very pleased to announce the appointment of these new members to the FSA board. Their skills, knowledge and background will make a valuable contribution to the work of the FSA.”
