CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
Virgin Media
The media group has appointed Eamonn O’Hare, previously UK finance director of supermarket giant Tesco, as its new chief financial officer.
O’Hare, who will assume his new role in November, has been at Tesco for the past four years. Prior to that, he played a key role in the turnaround of Energis, where he held the position of chief financial officer, and spent ten years with PepsiCo.
Caledonia Investments
Charles Gregson, the chairman of inter-dealer broker ICAP, has joined the investment group as an independent non-executive director.
Gregson has spent the past 35 years at United Business Media and its predecessor companies in a number of roles, most recently as chief executive of PR Newswire. Along with his position at ICAP, he is also currently a non-executive director of International Personal Finance.
Execution
The agency broker has appointed Alistair Macdonald as an analyst covering leisure as it continues to beef up its research division with a number of new hires.
Macdonald was previously an equity analyst covering the retail sector at Redburn Partners.
MetLife Europe
The pensions firm has hired Andy Marks as its new business development director.
Marks was formerly managing director of sales at investment and insurance group The Hartford, which he joined in November 2007. He has also previously been sales director and an executive director at Canada Life.
