Leathwaite
Leathwaite, the global human capital specialist firm, announces that Dena Brumpton is to join its board as a non-executive director. With over 30 years’ experience as a senior financial services professional, most recently as chief executive for Barclays savings, investments and wealth management, Dena Brumpton is regarded as one of the leading women executives within financial services.
Prior to her role at Barclays, Dena had a distinguished 30-year career at Citi where she held several senior leadership positions in asset management, corporate and investment banking and most recently private banking and wealth management, where she was global chief operating officer for the private bank. Dena has been recognised as a Top 25 ‘Women of Inspiration and Enterprise’ (2012) and a City Power Woman (2014), as well as being a member of Cancer Research’s UK Women of Influence Board (2013 to 2016).
Blend Network
Blend Network, a fast-growing peer-to-peer property lending platform, has announced the appointment of highly-experienced property professional Paul Watson as head of origination. His arrival will help the company better serve its existing clients, as well as accelerate the acquisition of new borrowers, while also enhancing its due diligence capability for the benefit of its lenders. Paul has a 15-year track record of working across residential and commercial property, including experience in distressed assets, fund management of residential income portfolios, new acquisitions, and development management.
Paul’s most recent position was as senior development finance originator for leading real estate lender Octopus Property. Previously Paul was a senior development manager at Churchmanor Estates in Ipswich, where he was responsible for working on new transactions and managing existing assets and developments, including the delivery of the £25m Chequers shopping centre.
Quantexa
Quantexa, the big data scale-up, has hired Chrisol Correia as global head of KYC (Know Your Customer). Chrisol brings expertise in data and technology for regulatory compliance and financial crime risk management. He will lead Quantexa’s KYC solution driven by analytics to create risk insights for organisations, enabling them to gain a greater understanding of their customers and reduce criminal activity.
Chrisol has joined from risk science company Lexisnexis Risk Solutions, where he led international market development and strategy for anti-money laundering data, software and services. Prior to Lexisnexis, Chrisol worked at US publishing and financial information giant Dow Jones.
