Metric Property Investments
Metric – set up by ex-British Land executives Andrew Jones (pictured), Valentine Beresford and Mark Stirling – has appointed three high-flyers following its £190m float on the LSE.
William Evers, a former associate director at LaSalle, has joined as an investment executive. Juliana Weiss Dalton becomes head of investor relations and corporate analysis, while Richard Howell joins as financial controller.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch
The bank has hired Bruce Mackenzie from Deutsche Bank to become a managing director and head of EMEA high yield capital markets.
Mackenzie was formerly a member of Deutsche’s London debt team and will report to David Ross, head of EMEA leveraged finance capital markets.
His appointment follows that of Giles Hutson, who moved over from Morgan Stanley to Bank of America three weeks ago to become head of EMEA corporates, sovereign, supranationals and agencies and emerging markets.
Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer
The law firm has poached Alan Rae Smith from rival Allen & Overy to join its energy projects team as a finance partner.
Rae Smith has worked as a partner at Allen & Overy since 1993 and was previously the firm’s lead London partner on oil and gas project finance matters.
Livingstone Partners
The investment banking boutique has appointed Simon Cooper as a deal leader in its London team.
Cooper joins from Ernst & Young, where he worked in the M&A, restructuring, commercial and financial due diligence teams.
The firm has also hired Joseph Greenwood from William Blair & Co to join its Chicago office as director of special situations.
Jefferies
Mark Alan Fox has joined the investment banking group as a managing director and head of emerging markets distribution for Europe.
Fox has over 21 years of experience in the financial services sector, having worked for UBS as head of emerging markets for Switzerland and the UK. He also spent a combined 12 years at JP Morgan and Lehman Brothers.
