James Caird Asset Management
The hedge fund has appointed Mary Goodman, former special assistant to the president for financial markets at the Nation Economic Council and senior adviser to the US Treasury, as managing director of the firm’s US business, based in Washington DC. Goodman will advise on global macroeconomic outlook and on monetary, fiscal, regulatory and other policy risks. JCAM manages the JCAM Global, the JCAM Vintage II and the JCAM Mortgage Opportunity Funds and has $2.65bn (£1.62bn) of assets.
Heartwood
Diana Nicholls has been appointed as client director to Heartwood Wealth Management’s private wealth management team. Most recently, Nicholls worked at AAC Capital Partners as UK origination director. Prior to this, she spent ten years as a director at Legal & General Ventures.
Renaissance Capital
The emerging markets investment bank has hired Nothando Ndebele as head of sub-Saharan Africa research. Ndebele joins from Africap Microfinance Investment, where she was a senior investment officer.
Simmons & Simmons
The law firm has expanded its banking team in Paris with the appointment of partner Colin Millar to its financial markets practice. Millar, who joins from SJ Berwin Paris, specialises in leveraged finance, funds finance, restructuring and real estate finance.
Ashurst
The law firm has appointed Raymond Fisher and Jennifer Schneck, both formerly with Linklaters, as partners to lead its London-based US securities team. Schneck specialises in global securities offerings and Fisher specialises in equity and debt issues.
Bluefin
Bluefin Wealth Management, part of Bluefin Advisory Services, has appointed Chris Durnian as a financial planner, based in London. Durnian joins from Lloyds Wealth Management, where he was a wealth management adviser.
Affiliated Managers Group
The asset management group, the majority owner of UK funds Artemis, Pantheon and Genesis Asset Managers, has appointed Michael Moth-Greve as director of business development for the Nordic region. Moth-Greve joins AMG from Axa Investment Management, where he was head of Nordic institutional sales.
