Brown rejects tactical voting
Gordon Brown yesterday rejected calls for tactical voting, after he said that “Labour voters should always vote Labour”. The move goes against earlier messages from senior Labour ministers Ed Balls and Peter Hain, who had urged voters to vote tactically to keep the Tories out. Nick Clegg said these calls were “desperate”.
Deal could put Cameron as PM
Northern Ireland MPs have suggested they will back Conservative leader David Cameron on the basis that he protect the region from public spending cuts. If he accepts the deal, it would give the Tories up to 10 more parliamentary seats and ultimately boost him into the Prime Minister spot if he fails to win the election.
