March 2010: Shadow education secretary Michael Gove told us about his plans to overhaul the state education system, by introducing privately run schools that were publicly funded
March 2010: Along with PoliticsHome.com, we launched a revolutionary panel to track the views of London’s business and financial community. In a major blow for George Osborne, less than 1 in 4 panellists said he should be chancellor. Thirty-six per cent backed Ken Clarke, while 20 per cent chose Vince Cable
April 2010: Alistair Darling was the first in our series of Chancellors’ Interviews. He rejected claims that the party was fighting the election on a socialist ticket, declaring “this is as New Labour as it’s ever been”
April 2010: George Osborne was next in our series of Chancellors’ Interviews. He warned a hung parliament would paralyse the UK, although his warnings fell on deaf ears.
