KPMG
The accountancy firm has appointed Alastair McLeish as UK head of tax and pensions, effective from 1 July.
McLeish joined KPMG’s Birmingham office in 1994 and was subsequently appointed in 2003 as head of the pensions advisory group, which he has built up since to encompass over 350 staff and 20 partners.
Former UK head of tax Sue Bonney will now be head of tax at KPMG Europe.
Axa Investment Managers
The asset management firm has appointed Bruno Grandsard as a portfolio manager within Axa Framlington’s global equities team.
Grandsard, who is based in London, is responsible for covering investment opportunities in the global automotive, telecommunications and utilities sectors.
He was previously at Alliance Bernstein, where he worked for five years as a senior research analyst in the global automotives and components industry.
Debevoise & Plimpton
The law firm has appointed Sophie Lamb to partner in its London office.
Lamb is a member of the litigation department and specialises in complex litigation, commercial and investment treaty arbitration and public international law, having joined Debevoise in 2008. She is also on the coordinating committee of the ICC International Court of Arbitration Young Arbitrators Forum.

The boutique wealth manager has hired Armando Simões Silva as an executive director in its family office.
Simões Silva, who is of joint Portuguese and British nationality, will be responsible for driving the firm’s client base and presence in Southern Europe.
He has been working as an independent consultant since 2004 but prior to that worked at Barclays Private Bank and established his own company, Knightsbridge Portfolio Services.
Kingston Smith
Tessa Park has been promoted to partner at the accountancy firm.
She will be responsible for providing training, technical advice and internal guidance on applying International Financial Reporting standards, UK accounting standards and audit methodology.
