Matrix Group
The financial services business has appointed Tiraneh Tehranchian as its new head of risk.
Tehranchian joins from Man Global Strategies, part of Man Investments, where she has held the position of head of risk for the past five years.
Prior to that, she was a risk manager at Abbey National Treasury Services and started her career at investment banking group JP Morgan.
Tullett Prebon
The inter-dealer broker has launched a primary placement business for hedge funds, private equity and other alternative investment funds. The new division will be driven by Gahtan Vahidy, who previously worked together with Tullett’s head of alternative investment Neil Campbell at the Axiom Alternative Fund, a boutique fund of funds firm focused on natural resources strategies.
Vahidy also has over five years of experience as a buy side analyst for the hedge fund sector, most recently at Erste Bank, and was previously a strategy consultant for accountancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Rensburg Sheppards
The investment manager has hired Aidan Lisser as its new chief marketing officer, effective immediately.
Lisser was formerly chief marketing officer of Allianz Global Investors in Munich and before that at Standard Chartered Bank. He also previously spent over 20 years in various marketing roles at consumer giant Unilever.
Alexander Forbes Group
The pension advisory group has appointed Tony Gusmao as chief executive of its financial services division, succeeding Grant Stobart, who remains chief executive of Alexander Forbes International.
Gusmao has spent over 17 years at the group, predominantly in South Africa, where he was head of the institutional cluster.
KB Associates
Phillip Chapple has joined the asset management consultancy firm as an executive director in the London office.
Chapple will be tasked with growing KBA’s product range by offering hedge fund start-up consultancy, due diligence advisory, re-domicilation planning and infrastructure review services in the London alternative investment market.
He joins from Ironshield Capital Management, where he was chief operating officer, and has also held the same position at Ibis Asset Management.
Norton Rose
The law firm has hired Nick Dingemans from Clifford Chance to join its corporate practice in Moscow as a partner.
Dingemans was previously counsel in the corporate department and energy and infrastructure group at Clifford Chance.
