Court decision on BA’s strike plan hit by delay
BRITISH Airways (BA) passengers are still in the dark over the continuing threat of a cabin crew strike after the Court of Appeal delayed making a decision on Unite’s challenge of Monday’s decision.
Unite launched the appeal yesterday morning after the High Court brandished the possible crew strike unlawful on the grounds that the union did not communicate ballot results to its members.
The hearing is expected to reconvene this morning with three of the most senior judges in the UK, including Lord Chief Justice, deciding whether or not Monday’s decision to grant BA with the injunction was right.
Although the strike did not take off yesterday as originally intended, BA passengers still faced a backlog of delays after the airline operated a reduced schedule of flights.
The dispute continues.
