Agent Provocateur
Retail veteran Chris Woodhouse has been appointed as non-executive chairman of luxury retailer Agent Provocateur. Woodhouse, director of Debenhams and chairman of restaurant group Gondola, which owns Pizza Express and ASK, will take a small stake in the lingerie business, which he will oversee alongside his existing role. Agent Provocateur, owned by private equity firm 3i, is expanding overseas, with new stores planned this year for New York and Los Angeles.
Barclays Corporate
David McHattie, currently head of Barclays Corporate’s social housing team, has been appointed as Barclays Corporate’s head of charities. In addition, Chris Hean, who is also head of education at Barclays Corporate, has been appointed as head of local authorities.
Artemis
Mark Page and Laurent Millet will join the fund manager in September from Liverpool Victoria Asset Management. They will manage the firm’s UCITs Artemis European Opportunities Fund, which will launch later this year, subject to FSA approval.

The pensions consultancy has appointed Nick Wyld as associate director. He joins from Stamford Associates, where he was head of client consulting.
Grant Thornton
The accountancy firm has appointed Nigel Masters as a senior adviser to its life actuarial team. Masters previously worked with Zurich Financial Services, where he was group chief life actuary and president of the Institute of Actuaries.
Covington & Burling
The law firm has extended its life sciences practice by poaching a team of four life sciences corporate partners from the London office of Morrison & Foerster. The partners are Paul Claydon, Natalie Diep, James Gubbins and James Halstead.
Xenon Capital Partners
Philip Jackson has been appointed as a senior adviser at the investment firm, based in Hong Kong. Jackson was formerly chief executive of JP Morgan’s $860m Asian Infrastructure and Related Resources Opportunity fund.
Deloitte
Aviation security expert Helen Gripton has been appointed to the business advisory firm’s corporate security team, where she will advise airports and airport operators on aviation security.
