SISTER ACT AT THE PALLADIUM
Whoopi Goldberg, star of the 1992 hit comedy Sister Act, has produced the new production of the singing nuns-in-habits taking the West End by storm (just in case it needed another musical). American actress Patina Miller has taken the baton from Ms Goldberg in this production as its star; with Sheila Hancock as the Mother Superior. Who can miss that? Until 13 Feb 2010, London Palladium, 8 Argyll Street, W1F 7TF, tel: 020 7494 5020.
RICHARD LONG AT TATE
Long’s work comes from his love of nature and through the experience of his solitary walks, which take him through rural and remote areas in Britain, Canada, Mongolia and Bolivia. The show features over 80 works, includes sculpture and large-scale mud wall works documenting the walks. It’s an excellent show and quite possibly one of the year’s best. Until 6 September at Tate Britain, Millbank, SW1P 4RG. Tickets £9.80, tel: 020 7887 8888
