CITY MOVES WHO’S SWITCHING JOBS
Dawsons
The law firm has hired Stephen Morrall as a new partner to its expanding corporate commercial team.
Morrall joins from Middleton Potts, where he worked for over 20 years. He has a particular interest in cross-border M&A, joint ventures, banking and cross border security, international trade and employment law.
Morrall will also help the firm expand its offering to clients in Germany.
Collins Stewart
The financial advisory group has appointed Mike Wojtowicz and Mike Murphy to create a fixed income credit trading desk in London, effective from July.
Wojtowicz joins from Barclays Capital and has also previously worked at ABN Amro and Lehman Brothers. Murphy previously worked at BNP Paribas and Lehman Brothers, where the pair used to work together.
In their new roles, they will work closely with Collins Stewart’s longstanding preference share/PIBs team.
Clarksons
The shipping services group has appointed John Sinders as senior executive officer of Clarksons Investment Services (CIS) in Dubai.
Sinders is a highly experienced investment banker, having previously worked as head of the shipping and oil services group at Jefferies, head of the energy group at Howard Weil in the US and co-global head of energy banking at the Royal Bank of Canada.
Pradera AM
Nick Hewson has joined the global out-of-town retail property investment firm’s board as a non-executive director.
Hewson rejoins Paul Whight, the chairman of Pradera, having previously founded Grantchester Holdings together ten years ago. Prior to that, the two worked together during the 1980s as directors of retail warehouse specialist developer Citygrove.
Ocean Power Technologies
The Aim-listed wave energy technology firm has appointed Angus Norman as chief executive of its UK-based subsidiary.
Norman joins from EDF Energy, where he was managing director of sustainable solutions. He brings over a decade of leadership experience in the energy and renewable energy generation sector.

Jerry Horwood, formerly a non-executive director at the security x-ray imaging firm, has resigned from the board. He will be replaced by Brian Emslie, who spent the past 30 years working for industrial gas firm BOC Group.
