Coutts Private Office
The private bank has appointed Stephen Eggins as a senior client partner based in London, responsible for looking after ultra-high net worth (UHNW) clients.
Eggins has over 20 years of experience in financial services and joins from Credit Suisse, where he also advised UHNW individuals. Prior to that, he worked at US investment bank Donaldson Lufkin Jenrette as a relationship manager, and as a solicitor for Clifford Chance.
Nomura
The Japanese investment bank has hired Eduardo Epperlein as global head of risk methodology, a role based in London.
Epperlein will be responsible for market and counterparty risk and its implications for regulatory and economic risk capital, including developing the company’s risk modelling infrastructure.
He joins from Citigroup, where he spent 16 years in total, most recently leading the implementation of a new market risk capital framework.
Mizuho International
The securities and investment banking firm has appointed Shaun Wyles as a managing director and head of fixed income sales, and Melanie Czarra as a managing director and head of primary debt markets.
Wyles joins from inter-dealer broker Icap, where he was head of European credit sales from 2008. He also spent a 13-year stint at BNP Paribas.
Czarra has worked for the past 13 years at Citigroup, most recently as a managing director in fixed income capital markets origination.
FundQuest
The multi-management specialist, part of BNP Paribas Investment Partners, has hired three new team members.
Valérie Meurice becomes head of external sales, having worked within the BNP Paribas group for the past 17 years, while Barbara Sanderson joins from Fortis Investments as head of marketing. Sébastien Bonnet joins as head of risk, having spent the past five years in analyst and portfolio manager positions at Ofi Asset Management, Natexis Asset Square and Allianz Alternative Asset Management.
Jefferies
The bank has expanded its global equity sales and trading business with the appointment of David Craven as a managing director and equity research salesperson in London.
Craven has over 26 years of industry experience and joins from Icap Equities, where he was a managing director. He previously spent eight years at JP Morgan as an executive director for equity sales and has held similar positions at HSBC, Greig Middleton, Gerrard Vivian Grey and BZW.
Credit Suisse
Gurjit Kambo, who was formerly a financials analyst at Numis Securities, has moved over to investment bank Credit Suisse.
At Numis, Kambo specialised in covering UK asset management firms.
