Capello’s £8.8m heads list of earners
FABIO CAPELLO is alreay sitting on top of the world – in the high earner stakes.
The England manager heads the list of the 32 World Cup bosses with a salary of £8.8m – almost three times more than that of the second-place manager, fellow Italian Marcello Lippi.
Germany’s Joachim Low comes in next with £2.5m, while the Ivory Coast’s former England chief, Sven-Goran Eriksson, trails in equal ninth with a measly £1.2m by his standards.
Interestingly, Argentina boss Diego Maradona is only equal 13th on the list with £800,000, alongside Brazil counterpart Dunga and the respective bosses of Japan and New Zealand.
But spare a thought for South Korean coach Kim Jong-Hun, wo props up the list with an annual salary of £170,000.
