JP Morgan comms head to join Goldman in the US
DAVID Wells, the head of communications for JP Morgan in Europe, is leaving the investment bank to move over to Goldman Sachs in the US.
Wells will report to Goldman’s chief spinner Lucas van Praag, who has been steering the bank through one of the rockiest periods in its history following America’s Securities and Exchange Commission’s fraud allegations against it.
After leaving JP Morgan last week, Wells is set to start at Goldman in September as a managing director, leading the bank’s media relations in the Americas. Prior to his move into the public relations industry in 2008, he worked as a journalist, first at Bloomberg News and then at the Financial Times.
