Who’s on the move today?
Canon
Canon, a leader in imaging solutions, has announced the appointment of Yusuke Mizoguchi as managing director of Canon UK and Ireland. In his new role, Yusuke reports directly into Yuichi Ishizuka, president and chief executive of Canon Europe, Middle East and Africa. Yusuke will be responsible for driving sales in the UK and Ireland and strengthening Canon’s brand position in the local market. Yusuke brings over 35 years’ Canon experience to the role, having held a number of key positions across Canon’s core markets.
Most recently, Yusuke was Canon Europe’s head of business & information, services & project division, a role he took up in April last year. Prior to this, he was the managing director of Canon Oceania, where he led a successful acquisition of Converga, the largest acquisition for the region to date. Originally a Japanese national, Yusuke has spent the majority of his career outside of Japan, having worked across six different countries, including the United States and Germany.
Surveymonkey
Surveymonkey, the global survey software company, has announced the hire of international sales leader Joe Cummiskey as senior director of enterprise sales in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In his new role, Cummiskey will build and lead Surveymonkey’s sales organization in the region as part of the company’s growth strategy and investment in expanding its international footprint. Before joining SurveyMonkey, Cummiskey was responsible for leading international sales departments at Google and Facebook.
As head of sales for the Middle East, Africa, and Pakistan business for Facebook, he launched and drove its agency program in Turkey and Sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to joining Facebook, Cummiskey held various roles in Google’s Dublin headquarters building the company’s European operations, with a special focus on emerging markets and the Middle East.
CTD Advisors
Lord Stuart Polak, the man behind one of Westminster’s most successful single-issue campaign groups, is to join CTD Advisors to support businesses in markets with unfamiliar political landscapes while managing their reputational risk. Forming part of an already proven leadership team of senior advisors – Lord Polak will join an experienced and diversified team of professional consultants.
An active member of the Conservative Party for more than 30 years, in 2015 Lord Polak was made a life peer. He is the honorary president of the Conservative Friends of Israel (CFI) group. Prime Minister Theresa May once described him in a speech as the “one and only Stuart Polak” praising his “tenacity and energy”.
