Bendtner to snub Milan for Arsenal
ARSENAL striker Nicklas Bendtner has rubbished suggestions he is set to join AC Milan and pledged his future to the Gunners.
The Dane, 21, has been linked with a move to the Italian giants, who are in the market for a forward. But Bendtner, who scored twice in Arsenal’s 5-0 victory over Hungarian outfit Szombathely last night, said: “I haven’t heard anything.
“As far as I know I am totally with Arsenal. This is where I want to be. This is something special and I want to be a part of it. This is the club I want to play with and it has always been that way.”
Bendtner has also been mentioned as a possible makeweight in a bid for Roma’s Mirko Vucinic, while Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is also said to be tracking Real Madrid’s Klaas-Jan Huntelaar. Arsenal are a striker down after selling Emmanuel Adebayor to Manchester City for £25m, but were boosted by the return of fit-again Eduardo last night with the Croatian also netting twice in Hungary.
Robin van Persie netted the fifth from the penalty spot.
Adebayor does not look likely to be the only major departure from the Emirates Stadium this summer, however, with defender Kolo Toure seemingly set to follow him to City, while Emmanuel Eboue is a target for Italian side Fiorentina.
