CITY VIEWS: SHOULD BRITISH AIRWAYS CHARGE FOR IN-FLIGHT MEALS?
ABI COOPER LAING O’ROURKE
“Yes, I think it will affect the number of people who fly with them. I suppose it does depend on the journey length, however, as budget airlines already charge for in-flight meals. Perhaps passengers used to short-haul flights with these airlines won’t mind.”
ZAIN HIRANI STANDARD BANK
“I think it’s a small thing and I’m not sure how much money they will save by doing this. I don’t personally see the point and I think it puts them on the same level as the cheap airlines and degrades their name somewhat.”
ARTHUR CHUNG BANKER
“Yes, I think it’s a good idea, a lot of low-cost airlines do it and if it’s a way for British Airways to keep in competition then it’s all right with me.”
