New easyJet boss set to launch review of business
CAROLYN MCCALL, easyJet’s newly appointed chief executive is to launch a review of the airline’s business model with plans to deliver her findings to investors in November.
The former Guardian Media Group chief is considering whether to appoint a third party to carry out tests on the low-cost airline’s assumptions.
EasyJet has yet to decide who it will appoint but McCall will work alongside the group’s new finance director, Chris Kennedy.
It is thought that McCall wants to test out the airline’s fleet expansion plans, which saw easyJet’s owner Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou dramatically quit the board. She will also test out easyJet’s growth plans set against the backdrop of governmental spending cuts, oil price projections and moves made by rivals.
