Maxifier
The online ad campaign performance specialist has appointed Helen-Clifford Jones as head of UK and vice president of sales in EMEA. She will be responsible for leading the expansion of the UK and the move into EMEA. Jones has ten-years of experience in the digital media, publishing and advertising industries. Prior to joining Maxifier, she held leading business development and marketing roles at GroupM, where she was most recently director of publisher relationships.
Mercer
The human resource consulting, outsourcing and investment services firm has appointed Beverley Sharp as global head of retail research in its wealth management business. Sharp joined Mercer in 2010 as a member of the manager research team. Prior to joining Mercer, she worked for BDO Investment Management where she was a fund analyst.
PwC
The professional services firm has recruited Richard Batty to chair its actuarial services network. Batty joins PwC from Towers Watson, where he was most recently the managing consultant of Towers Watson Germany. Prior to that he was the managing director of Towers Perrin’s international risk consulting and software practice.
SJ Berwin
International law firm SJ Berwin has appointed Andrew Bliss as a partner in its Finance team in London. Bliss joins from Sidley Austin where he has been a partner since 2002. He has extensive expertise in the sphere of real estate finance and has worked with high-end finance clients including Lloyds, NM Rothschild, Citigroup and UBS.
Winston & Strawn
The law firm has hired Michael Madden as head of its commercial litigation practice in London. Madden joins from Ashurst, where he was managing partner of its dispute resolution department. He has plenty of experience in commercial litigation and arbitration, having won a case in the House of Lords on the “poison pill” takeover defence and worked on leading cases on injunctions, the exercise of public authority powers and casino licencing.
Société Générale
The financial services group has appointed Alberto Brondolo as head of global inflation strategy and Julian Wiseman as head of UK rates strategy, both based in London. Previously, Brondolo worked at Barclays Capital as a director, inflation product manager, and Wiseman was a senior fixed income strategist at Rohatyn Group with previous roles at the Bank of England and JP Morgan.
