Investment Solutions
Investment Solutions, the multi-manager portfolio provider, has appointed a new chief executive: Rufus Warner. Warner comes to the firm from Earth Capital Partners and after 27 years in asset management, including stints at Societe Generale Asset Management, Close Investments, Morgan Grenfell Asset Management and Fidelity. He will now take charge of the UK business, with the intention of improving its profile.
Barclays Corporate
Paul Emney has been appointed to take over as chief financial officer of Barclays Corporate, a move from his former role as chief operating officer of Barclays Capital, the investment banking side of the business formerly led by current chief executive Bob Diamond.
Emney joined BarCap in 1996 from what was then Price Waterhouse. He has recently returned from a secondment to Qatar Investment Authority, where he was chief operating officer.
ISAM
International Standard Asset Management, the hedge fund led by Stanley Fink and Larry Hite, has hired Alexander Lowe and business development director and Riva Waller as chief operating officer based in New York. Both have moved over from Man Group.
Lowe will be in charge of expanding institutional services and new products. Aside from working for Man Group during the last seven years, he has also previously worked at BNP Paribas and ING Barings.
SWIP
Scottish Widows Investment Partnership has appointed Terence Nahar as investment director. He will be based in London and will report to Neil Falconer within SWIP’s fixed income business. He will begin in this role in February.
Nahar has more than nine years’ experience in investment management. He joins the firm from Royal London Asset Management and has also worked at Goldman Sachs.
Kinsey Allen International
The international executive search firm has appointed Geoffrey Craig as a senior consultant in the firm’s legal practice in London and Paris.
Harris Williams & Co
The US mid market investment bank has recruited a new managing director in London: Julien Darmon. Before this appointment, he worked at the investment banking group of Robert W. Baird on both sides of the Atlantic. He has extensive experience in cross-border mergers and acquisitions.
