BATSMAN Neil McKenzie guided Hampshire to a 45-run win over Sussex and booked them a Friends Provident t20 quarter-final with Warwickshire.
McKenzie’s unbeaten 67 helped the home side to 195-5 and earned them the victory they needed to progress to the last eight.
Sussex also advanced despite the defeat and will meet Northamptonshire, who claimed a seven-wicket win over Durham.
Lancashire edged out Worcestershire to set up a clash with Essex, who qualified despite losing by 11 runs to Middlesex.
Steven Croft hit a career-best T20 innings of 88 off just 52 balls, including 10 fours and four sixes.
Warwickshire took top spot in the North Group with an eight-run triumph over Leicestershire, but South Group winners Somerset slipped to a 59-run defeat to Kent in their final fixture.
