World Gold Council
The WGC has appointed David Badham as head of investment marketing for Europe, effective immediately.
Badham joins from the Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was head of communications and marketing for the global markets division in the EMEA region.
Prior to the acquisition of NatWest by RBS in 2000, he was head of business strategy for NatWest’s corporate banking services.
F&C Investments
The investment management team has appointed Emily Fitz-James as a client director in its institutional team.
Fitz-James joins at the end of August from Legal & General Investment Management, where she has worked since November 2006, most recently as a liability-driven investment account manager. Prior to that, she was at Northern Trust.
Legal & General Property
The property fund manager has hired Will Edwards as a fund manager for its linked pensions property fund and Greg Westover as senior asset manager on its linked life fund.
Edwards was formerly an associate director at DTZ Investment Management, where he managed UK-focused commercial property portfolios on behalf of pension funds.
Westover previously worked as a commercial asset manager at Ballymore and also spent a nine-year stint at Chase & Partners.
Gatehouse Bank
Michael Bavington is joining the Shariah-compliant wholesale investment bank as a vice president in the asset finance team.
Bavington moves over from Lloyds Banking Group, where he was a director in the corporate asset finance business, specialising in providing funding for managed asset service providers in the energy, water and healthcare markets.
Brookland Partners
The real estate investment bank has appointed Prabjot Mann as a director in the real estate investment and debt and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) advisory team.
Mann joins from European Credit Management, where she was the firm’s CMBS analyst. She has also previously been a vice president at Merrill Lynch Real Estate Finance.
